Material Guide

Silicone, Tyvek, fabric, leather and neoprene compared — durability, comfort, cost and the right use for each.

Most of the decision comes down to how long the item needs to survive. A one-day festival and a year-long awareness campaign want very different materials.

Silicone

Our core material. 100% silicone, and our products do not contain latex — we can send a test report on request. Soft, waterproof, and durable enough to be worn indefinitely. Takes debossing, embossing, printing and laser engraving.

Best for: awareness campaigns, fundraising, giveaways, anything meant to be kept. Minimum order: 10 pieces.

Tyvek

A tough, tear-resistant synthetic paper with a one-time adhesive closure — once it is on, it cannot be removed and reused. Inexpensive at volume and printable in full color.

Best for: single-day events, festivals, admission control, age verification. Minimum order: 100 pieces. Note that Tyvek orders cannot be cancelled once production has started.

Fabric / woven

Woven or printed cloth bands with a locking closure. More comfortable than Tyvek over several days and much harder to counterfeit or transfer than a paper band.

Best for: multi-day festivals, camps, conferences, VIP access.

Elastic

Stretch fabric bands that slip on and off without a clasp. Comfortable for long wear and reusable.

Best for: church groups, youth programmes, recurring events. See our elastic wristband guide.

Leather

A premium option with a very different feel — used where the item is the gift rather than the ticket.

Best for: corporate gifts, retail, commemorative pieces.

Neoprene (koozies)

Insulating foam rubber, printable in full color, collapsible and washable.

Best for: outdoor events, breweries, trade shows, summer promotions.
